Pharmacovigilance and the importance of an experienced helpline workforce
Pharmacovigilance (PV or PhV), also known as Drug Safety, is the pharmacological science relating to the collection, detection, assessment, monitoring, and prevention of adverse effects with pharmaceutical products. In a helpline contact centre this involves the logging of spontaneous report forms and the escalation of emergency calls.
Why is important to have an experienced helpline workforce?
Having contact centre staff that are familiar and experienced with the Health Sector and Pharmaceutical industry enables: – the execution of processes effectively – reduces the requirement of basic training – minimal time wastage and mistakes. For these reasons it is always more profitable and efficient to choose a call centre that has agents up to date and experienced in the health and pharmaceutical sector.
